Its time to go

Around 12 on Sunday I sat down to watch the Vikings play the Panthers, after an 0-2 start to there season I was beginning to loose faith in the Vikings. (nothing new of course) When I heard that starting quarterback for the Vikes Tavaris Jackson was benched for the remainder of the season, I wasn't quite sure what to think. Until they brought in a 15 year veteran of the NFL Gus Frerotte 37, who started against the Panthers on Sunday. The game started out slow, at half time the Panthers had us 10 to 3, but not for long, quarterback Gus Frerotte threw a touchdown pass tieing it at 10 in the third period. After, cornerback Antonie Winfield sacked the Panthers quarterback and recovered the fumble, Winfield ran in for the touchdown leading the Panthers 17 to 10, the vikings ended up winning 20 to 10. I think that move by head coach Brad Childress putting Tavaris Jackson down to second string was a good decision, infact many people are asking themselves was the decision a couple of weeks late after 2 losses in a row. Gus Frerotte had 204 passing yards, he did a great job of staying in the pocket and not panaking when under pressure, unlike Tavaris. Gus through a couple of nice bombs, but there is no doubt that the Vikings are a running team. Gus completed the most important throws, the ones that were only 5-10 yards, but got the team a first down. I hope Gus can continue doing this and hopefully lead the Vikings to more wins throughout the season.
